Thomas O'Brien '55
Date of birth: December 16, 1931
Date of death: December 20, 1963
Thomas does not appear in the Lucky Bag for either his 1/c or 4/c year.
He was killed in a crash of his T-28 in Florida with the 6th Fighter Squadron on December 20, 1963. Unable to find anything else about him, except that he is buried in Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery.
There is a Thomas Edward O'Brien in the 1955 Lucky Bag; he too entered the Air Force. He retired as a Major in the mid-70s from Travis AFB, though, and was still alive as of the early 1980s. Also graduating in '55 was C.M. O'Brien. The 1952 Lucky Bag has two 4/c O'Briens; meaning Thomas H likely left USNA early in his 4/c year, before company photos were taken.
Thomas is one of 34 members of the Class of 1955 on Virtual Memorial Hall.
