Loss
Edward was lost when his F-100 Super Sabre crashed while returning to Nellis AFB, NV, from a training mission on January 10, 1962.
From the March-April 1962 issue of Shipmate:
It is with regret that I announce the death of Capt. EDWARD F. ST. GEORGE, USAF. Bud was killed in an aircraft accident near Las Vegas, Nevada, on 10 January 1962. He is survived by his widow Nancy and their two children, Sandy and Stevie.
At the time of his death Bud was assigned to the Research and Development section of the USAF Fighter Weapons School at Nellis AFB , Nevada. He had arrived there last October after receiving his Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio
He was also survived by his father; his mother died in 1955. Edward is buried in Pennsylvania.
