LCdr. Guy M. Houston Jr., USN, died 10 November as the result of an aircraft accident in the Mediterranean Sea while on flight maneuvers off the USS Saratoga. Memorial services were held in the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

A native of New Albany, Miss., LCdr. Houston was graduated from the Naval Academy in June 1958 and was also a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey. In 1965 he was nominated for membership on the Astronauts team. A pilot with Attack Carrier Air Wing Three, LCdr. Houston had been stationed aboard the Saratoga for four months.

Survivors include his widow Sandra of 2078 Hyde Park Rd., Apt. 18, Jacksonville, Fl. 32210; a son Douglas Scott Houston; two daughters Cynthia Lynn and Lori Ann, and his mother Mrs. Frances Houston of New Albany.

He has a memory marker in Arlington National Cemetery.
