From the 1946 Lucky Bag:

John Alexander Paul

Oak Park, Illinois

Naturally big and loud, "Big John" does everything the way he plays football: hard but clean. He has a great capacity for work when there is no way of avoiding it. Johnny stands about the middle of his class, and before any P-work many savoirs usually come to his room for counsel and advice. His activities vary all the way from varsity guard to the Stamp Club. His principal hobbies are dragging, listening to his favorite song maestros, and sailing. He's strictly the kind of guy we want on our team when the pressure is on.

He also commanded the 7th Company for the fall term.

The Class of 1946 was graduated in June 1945 due to World War II. The entirety of 2nd class (junior) year was removed from the curriculum.

Life & Loss

Unable to find any information about John's life or loss. He is buried in Delaware. (His tombstone is incorrect; it says "Annapolis Graduate Class of 1945.")

He was married in May 1947.
