Life & Loss

Unable to find many details about Thomas' life or loss, except that he died on December 23, 1937. He was married to Margaret Adams (1905 - 1989). They had one child, Thomas Jr.

He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. (Note the transcription of his date of death seems to be incorrect; the Register of Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the United States Navy and Marine Corps of 1938 lists his date of death as above.)

The Register of Commissioned and Warrant Officers of the United States Navy and Marine Corps for 1937 lists him as a Captain stationed at "Headquarters Marine Corps." The 1937 Navy Directory, however, lists him as a 1LT "mar det, USS Reina Mercedes, instr Naval Academy." He is listed in the Annual Register of the United States Naval Academy 1936-1937 as a part of the Marine Detachment.

Thomas is not listed as a qualified naval aviator.
