Cold War

From USNA Virtual Memorial Hall

There is no "Cold War" section of the killed in action panel in Memorial Hall. For some of the alumni killed by hostile fire or lost in close contact with Soviet forces during this time, they are included on the panel under the Korean or Vietnam wars. This category is to more accurately account for those losses, even though they occurred outside any formal declaration of war between the United States and Soviet Union or related nations.
